The VDPM-SK motor is a synchronous three-phase motor with permanent magnets mounted on the rotor. It is designed for operation as part of a variable-speed permanent magnet drive system for beam pumping units.
The direct-drive gearbox system for beam pumping units, developed by specialists of the Innovation and Technology Center of ESP Service LLC, reduces energy consumption, lowers maintenance labor requirements, and improves the efficiency of sucker rod pump oil production processes.
The development of this drive represents one of the first implementations in Russian oilfield engineering of the global trend toward direct-drive systems based on permanent magnet synchronous motors.
